From 1995 to 2005, Dr. Gill was the owner/manager of Amber Lane Farm, Inc. in Versailles KY. The farm services included breeding, foaling, breaking, sales preparation and representation and rehabilitation.

In 2004, Dr. Gill produced a TV show series with Cargill Animal Nutrition for the satellite channel RFD-TV. Dr. Gill wrote the copy for and was featured in several of the episodes. The show focused on several key issues involving the feeding and management of all types of horses. Dr. Gill is also involved with many large breeding farms and performance horse stables, providing consultation on nutrition and exercise programs. Some of Dr Gill’s clients include Todd Pletcher Racing Stables, Greg Fox Racing Stables, Michelle Nihei Racing Stables, Hill N Dale Farm, Stonereath Farm, Justice Farm, Eutrophia Farm, Gulf Coast Farm, Harris Farms, Silver Oaks Farm, Sunday Morning Thoroughbreds, Woodstock Farm, Ashleigh Stud, Valkyre Stud and Highclere.

Most recently, Dr. Gill has joined forces with Agro – Solutions, a European based company, to distribute Siliforce Horses ®, a biologically available source of silicon that increases mineralization in bone and collagen content in bone and connective tissue in horses of all ages. The product is also being investigated as a preventative therapy for osteoporosis in human and degenerative joint disease in companion animals. As a result of this involvement with Siliforce Horses®, Dr. Gill has become interested in formulating supplements to augment healthy bone growth and repair, balance metabolic disorders, and alleviate symptoms associated with rigorous training regimes.
Dr. Gill recently developed a proprietary line of nutritional supplements called EQUI-FORCE Equine Products, LLC. These products were formulated with the goal of helping to alleviate clinical symptoms associated with developmental orthopedic disorders, assist in the repair of damaged or abnormal bone and soft tissue, correct metabolic imbalances, improve tolerance to exercise and prevent muscle myopathies in the performance horse.
Dr Gill is an avid equestrian competitor and is currently campaigning “Crackmeup”, a former race horse bred by Gill as an eventer.
